Masters of Spinjitzu: Kids Again | Ninjago | Cartoon Network

LEGO Ninjago (formerly known as LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu until mid-2019) is a Danish-American CGI-animated tv serial created by Tommy Andreasen & produced by The LEGO Group. The series' pilot episodes aired on January 14, 2011, and the series proper began on December 2, 2011. It is the first LEGO drawing to air on Cartoon Network, and the longest-running. It is also the longest-running show to currently air on Drawing Network.

In 2019, the series dropped the subtitle of Masters of Spinjitzu and the episode run-times were inverse from 22 minutes to eleven minutes.

History

The Creation of the Series

In 2009 LEGO, decided to retake a theme that had existed for many years called: Ninja , which was a Castle Sub-theme that was discontinued in 2000, they took some ideas from the sometime theme and made a new ane called Ninjago.

Later, Tommy Andreasen and Thomas Fenger created the martial art of Spinjitzu.

On February 22, 2010, the Hageman Brothers finished the outset draft of the pilot episode.

On May 2, 2010, the starting time concept was made where Kai fought a skeleton.

Cancellation and Render (2013-2014)

Originally LEGO had planned that the series would end afterward two seasons. Because of fan demand, in 2014, it returned with Flavor 3.

New Animation Studio (2019)

Starting with the eleventh season, LEGO changed the blitheness studio from WILFilm ApS to WildBrain (formerly called DHX Media)

Synopsis

"Long before time had a proper name, Ninjago was created by the First Spinjitzu Master using the four weapons of Spinjitzu: The Scythe of Quakes, the Nunchucks of Lightning, the Shurikens of Water ice, and the Sword of Burn. Weapons so powerful, no ane can handle all their power at once. When he passed away, his two sons swore to protect them. But the oldest was consumed by darkness, and wanted to possess the weapons. A battle between brothers bankrupt out, and the oldest was struck down and banished to the underworld. Peace returned, and the younger brother hid the weapons. But knowing his older blood brother'south relentless ambition for power, he placed a guardian to protect them. And for fear of his own demise, a map for an honest human to hibernate."

Half-dozen young ninja with elemental powers (Lloyd, Jay, Kai, Cole, Zane and Nya) are tasked with defending the fantastical world of Ninjago, a land created past the legendary First Spinjitzu Master. Trained by the wise Master Wu, Lloyd Garmadon and his friends use their skills, weapons, and vehicles to fight confronting evil masterminds and fearsome otherworldly creatures.

Characters

Lloyd Garmadon (voiced past Sam Vincent currently; Jillian Michaels from Season 1 to 7) - The destined Light-green Ninja, the youngest simply about powerful of the team. Once a bratty child, he was forced to abound upward apace in order to go the Dark-green Ninja. He is a natural leader and wise across his years. He is Garmadon and Misako'southward son, Wu's nephew, and the First Spinjitzu Master'southward grandson.

Kai (voiced past Vincent Tong) - The hotheaded and cocky Red Ninja of Fire. He is Nya's older blood brother and son of Ray and Maya.

Jay (voiced by Michael Adamthwaite) - The inventive and comedic Blue Ninja of Lightning. He is Nya's beau, the adoptive son of Ed and Edna Walker, and son of the actor Cliff Gordon.

Cole (voiced by Kirby Morrow) - The strong and steady Black Ninja of Earth. He is the rock and foundation of the team. He is the son of Lou and Lilly, the previous Chief of Globe.

Zane (voiced by Brent Miller) - The stoic and calculating Titanium Ninja of Water ice. One time believing himself to exist a human being orphan, he discovered his identity as a Nindroid (a robot ninja). He struggled with this fact at first, simply he has accepted his true nature and uses his robotic intelligence to aid the team. He was built by the late Dr. Julien.

Nya (voiced by Kelly Metzger) - The confident and intuitive H2o Ninja. She is Kai'south younger sis, Jay's girlfriend, the original Samurai X, and daughter of Ray and Maya.

Main Wu (voiced by Paul Dobson) - A Main of Spinjitzu, and the wise, old sensei of the Ninja. He is the second son of the Showtime Spinjitzu Master, Garmadon'south younger blood brother, and Lloyd's uncle.

Lord/Master/Emperor Garmadon (voiced by Mark Oliver) - The Lord of Destruction, the Ninjas' outset enemy, and most recurring antagonist. Bitten past a cursed serpent as a child, he transformed from Wu'south heroic brother to a diabolical warlord who allied with other dark forces in order to achieve his goals. He was freed from his poison by his son, and he became a peace-loving sensei for a brusk time. Primary Garmadon sacrificed himself in club to atone for his past, but he was eventually resurrected by an evil gang into a crueler version of his evil class. He is the Showtime Spinjitzu Master's start son, Misako's husband, Wu's older brother, and Lloyd's father.

Misako (voiced by Kathleen Barr) - A historian and archaeologist, who is likewise Lloyd's mother and Garmadon's wife.

P.I.X.A.L. (voiced by Jennifer Hayward) - A Nindroid like Zane, who was in one case wired into Zane'due south head. After having a physical torso again, P.I.X.A.L. became the current Samurai X. She is Zane's love interest and Dr. Cyrus Borg's creation.

Dareth (voiced past Alan Marriott) - The self-proclaimed "Brown Ninja" and ally of the Ninja.

Plot: "Wu seeks out iv dauntless boys – Cole, Jay, Kai and Zane – whom he trains in the art of Spinjitzu to get protectors of the Gold Weapons. Kai is the terminal i to be recruited past Wu. Plot: "Lord Garmadon has disappeared with all Iv Gold Weapons and now he controls the Serpentine. Meanwhile, the ninja intensify their training of young Lloyd so he will exist strong enough to defeat Lord Garmadon in the final battle. To gain evil power, Lord Garmadon goes to the Gilded Peaks to convert all 4 Gold Weapons into the weapon of cosmos – the Mega Weapon."

Season 3: Rebooted (2014)

The 3rd season premiered on January 29, 2014, with "The Surge". It ended after eight episodes with "The Titanium Ninja".

Plot: "Victory in the Concluding Boxing between the Aureate Ninja and the Overlord has ushered in a new era of peace and begun a technological renaissance. NINJAGO City has been rebuilt into a futuristic wonder and is now completely interconnected. Welcome to New NINJAGO City. Plot: "A grieving Lloyd is possessed by the ghost of Morro – the Main of Wind and Wu'south first student. In Lloyd's trunk, Morro renders the other ninja powerless before stealing Wu'southward staff. Information technology contains three hidden symbols, the path to finding the Tomb of First Spinjitzu Principal. Wu knows that if Morro finds the tomb, he will claim the Realm Crystal. This relic has the power to open the material between realms, enabling the powerful Preeminent to enter the NINJAGO globe."

The 6th season premiered on March 24, 2016, with "Infamous". It ended after 10 episodes with "Functioning Country Ho!" and "The Way Back" on July xv, 2016.

Plot: "With the defeat of Morro's ghost invasion, the ninja take now become huge media celebrities. But dark forces again threaten NINJAGO Island as the Teapot of Tyrahn is rediscovered by the ghost of Clouse, Master Chen's former right-hand homo. He allows Nadakhan, an evil Djinn and helm of the infamous Misfortune'southward Keep, to escape the teapot. Afterwards reassembling his pirate crew, Nadakhan returns to his home realm of Djinjago, to observe it collapsing. This destruction, acquired by the ninja defeating the Preeminent, leads Nadakhan to vow revenge. He refits his ship and so it can fly and prepares to set on. Now they are Sky Pirates."

Day of the Departed (2016)

"Day of the Departed" is a Halloween special, that aired on October 29, 2016.

Plot: "When Cole returns to Yang's haunted temple to seek revenge on the one-time Airjitzu Main who turned him into a ghost, he accidentally uses a powerful Dark Magic blade that unleashes the spectral forms of Ninjago's greatest villains and traps himself in the temple! While Cole battles for his liberty, the Ninja must render their ghostly foes to the Departed Realm before they gain the power to remain in Ninjago forever!"

Season 7: The Hands of Time (2017)

The seventh season premiered on May 15, 2017, with "The Hands of Fourth dimension". It concluded after 10 episodes with "Lost in Fourth dimension" on May 26, 2017.

Plot: "Shortly after the Mean solar day of the Departed, Master Wu awaits his old enemy Acronix to consummate a battle they began forty years agone. Simply Wu never should take faced such a powerful foe solitary. Acronix hits Wu with the Time Dial, which causes him to starting time rapidly aging! Plot: "A mysterious motorcycle gang called the Sons of Garmadon has arrived in NINJAGO® City in the action-packed season eight of the NINJAGO Television receiver series. Their goal: collect all iii Oni Masks to resurrect Lord Garmadon! Tin can the might of Lloyd, the Green Ninja, and the ninja team end them in time? It will accept all their skills and courage, plus make new vehicles to defeat this dangerous biker gang."

Flavour 9: Hunted (2018)

The ninth flavor premiered on August 11, 2018, with a two hour special consisting of "Firstbourne", "Iron and Stone", "Radio Costless Ninjago", and "How to Build a Dragon". Information technology finished after ten episodes on August 25, 2018, with a 1-hour-and-a-half special consisting of "Saving Faith", "Lessons for a Master", and "Greenish Destiny".

Plot: "While Lloyd and Nya resist Emperor Garmadon's oppressive concur on Ninjago City, Young Wu and the rest of the Ninja are stranded in a barbaric realm where trigger-happy dragons are being hunted down by Iron Baron and his gang of Dragon Hunters. Lloyd must endure in NINJAGO Metropolis, the others need to find the fabulous Dragon Armor if they always hope to get back domicile to stop Emperor Garmadon once and for all."

Season 10: March of the Oni (2019)

The 4-episode long tenth flavour premiered on Apr xix, 2019, every bit a 2-hour picture.

Only has success lulled our heroes into a false sense of security? When the ninja accidentally gear up an ancient threat loose, nothing could ever have prepared them for the mayhem that follows."

Season 12: Prime Empire (2020)

Plot: "When the old, legendary video-game, "Prime number Empire", resurfaces, players begin to disappear. In order to solve the mystery, the Ninja enter a dangerous digital world ruled by the mysterious villain Unagami."

Flavor 13: Master of the Mountain (2020)

Plot: "The ninja are invited to the beautiful Shintaro Kingdom to celebrate the young Princess Vania'southward altogether. At start glance, the Ivory Metropolis looks similar a pristine place, but the ninja before long uncover a nighttime, obscure, long-forgotten underworld: The Dungeons of Shintaro. Once within, they must fight their manner to freedom through a maze of tunnels paved with dangers and strange creatures ruled by the merciless Skull Sorcerer. The ninja must cull their path wisely."

Movie

In 2017, a feature-length theatrical film, "The LEGO Ninjago Film", was released past Warner Bros. Animation as part of the LEGO Pic franchise. It takes place in an alternate continuity to the show.

Plot: "In this large-screen NINJAGO adventure, the battle for NINJAGO Metropolis calls to action young Principal Builder Lloyd, aka the Light-green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all undercover ninja warriors. Led by Primary Wu, as wise-corking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, The Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to exist Lloyd's dad.   • It is currently the longest-running show on Cartoon Network from the 2010s that is nonetheless on the air (albeit not existence a Cartoon Network Original).
  • It is the first LEGO Series to have 100 episodes.
  • Ninjago is the kickoff acquired series that has xiii seasons, with a special and 2 canon pilot episodes.
  • In 2021 the tenth anniversary of the series is celebrated.
